DESCRIPTION:NIGHT OF THE ZACAPA \n \nIt’s a party that gets more and more infamous each year… and one that nobody wants to miss!  For the past eight years our club’s signature summer social event\, Night of Zacapa\, focuses on fellowship\, fun\, getting to know each other plus raising some money for our club projects. \nWe are excited to announce that once again this year our club’s annual Night of Zacapa event will be hosted by Steve Sandbo and Dave McCurdy Thursday August 20th at the home of Steve Sandbo with a few “tweaks” as the top priority is the safety of our members. \nDave and Steve have again offered to purchase the first bottle of Zacapa 23-year-old rum for $1\,000 to kick the event off.  The night will feature our own celebrity grilling experts Dave Dewey and Milt Lustnauer preparing prime steaks\, plenty of side dishes\, the “come to be expected” cigars bar\, lots of beverages of your choice\, possible aerial entertainment when the sun sets and great fun and fellowship. \nTo provide a safe as possible event\, “tweaks” will include: \n\nThe event will be 100% outdoors (yes\, you can use the bathroom inside)\nOutdoor style buffet line with masked servers\nHosted bar (not self serve)\nTables will be set up in the yard verses on the deck (physical distancing)\nThere will be only 4 settings per table verses 10 in the past.\nWe have decided his year’s event will be capped to the first 40 members who sign up so mark your calendar and be a part of a great evening!\n\nThe cost per person is $150 with all net proceeds going to the Upper Arlington Rotary Club \nPlease RSVP to Steve Sandbo\, 614-570-2527 or SSandbo@aol.com

DESCRIPTION:NIGHT OF THE ZACAPA \n \nIt’s a party that gets more and more infamous each year… and one that nobody wants to miss!  The Night of the Zacapa is the social highlight of the Rotary summer season.  Hosted at the home of Steve Sandbo\, the evening of Thursday\, July 18th\, you will enjoy a meal of the finest Omaha steaks cooked to perfection\, imported cigars\, and of course Guatemala’s famous Zacapa rum.  Enjoy an evening of fun\, food and fellowship with your fellow Rotarians and guests and you may even see a fireworks display from Dave McCurdy! DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, May 19th 6:00 – 10:00 PM\nOhio Stadium – Huntington Club\n  \nFeaturing \n\nSpecial Guest & Panelist: Two-time Heisman Trophy Winner & Ohio State Football Legend Archie Griffin\nAn exclusive private presentation of the “Woody Hayes Secret Locker Room Tapes”.  These tapes were recorded surreptitiously for posterity sake by a student assistant coach of Woody’s during his raucous and motivational locker room speeches throughout the 1975 season.  Locked away and lovingly protected for years\, several of these recordings have been made available to our club solely for this event.  The presentation will include a guest panel of former Woody friends and associates\, which will be moderated by our own Bill Hosket.  These recordings are historical artifacts that should be of interest to the casual fan and will provide spine tingling chills to any Buckeye football fan of the era when they hear Woody’s voice booming through Ohio Stadium once again!\nStadium guided tours including the exclusive recruiting room\, press box\, band room\, and the field\nPerformances by The Ohio State University Marching Band\nCatered premium meal & cash bar\nUnique items in our silent and live auctions\nParking beside the Stadium on the West side very near the event entrance\n\nStart thinking NOW about how you can help make our club’s annual fundraiser a success: \n\nDonate or find a silent or live auction item\nSponsor or recruit a sponsor\nInvite two friends (prospective club members\, OSU football fans\, potential auction bidders) as guests\n\nDownload the sponsor and auction item information sheet \nRegistration is required and space is limited to 225 attendees so please RSVP early to confirm your attendance.  Register for the event on Punchbowl now! \n
