DESCRIPTION:UPDATED 3.23.20: POSTPONED DUE TO COVID-19 SITUATION \nDUE TO GOVERNOR DEWINE’S SHELTER IN PLACE ORDER\, HOMELESS FAMILIES FOUNDATION HAS POSTPONED THIS EVENT TO A LATER DATE.  IN THE MEANTIME\, PLEASE READ BELOW FOR HOW YOU CAN HELP RIGHT NOW. \nHFF is  working with St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church to get the food drive rescheduled in the coming months\, and have urged their members to Donate Online or via Amazon Wish-list in the meantime. HFF is able to order items on a weekly basis from Mid-Ohio Foodbank\, so monetary donations to cover those costs are currently the greatest need. \n  \nHFF’s urgent needs list  is the other way to help out\, and those items can be dropped off to HFF on Monday’s between 10am-1pm. Please call Chad Gardner at 614-715-8551 when you arrive as the doors will be locked to slow community spread of the virus. HFF is closed to the public at this time with limited staffing onsite\, but they are still serving HFF families in a variety of ways. One big way is by continuing to deliver food and cleaning supplies to families on weekdays. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Coat Distribution for Operation Warm at West Broad Elementary
DESCRIPTION:UA Rotary members are supporting Operation Warm\, which is a non-profit that provides coats to kids.  Club member’s donations have purchased coats to distribute to every student at West Broad Street Elementary School. \nThe morning of December 18th\, we will need 15-25 Rotarians to help the kids select their coats and to fit them with the right size – with room for growth.  We ordered extra coats to ensure that every student receives a coat that morning. \nWe will distribute the coats one classroom at a time – about 10 minutes apart.  We will start at 9:15 AM and be done by 2:30 PM and will have two 2 1/2 hour shifts or whatever you can do.  We need one Rotarian to check the kid’s name on a list and two or three Rotarians to write their names in their coats.  The balance of the Rotarians will be working with the kids to select and fit their coats. \nPlease contact Doug Godard for more information or to sign up to help at doug.godard@cbre.com or 614-353-5428.
